Turbulence

Apple Ephedrine Pie

This is a series of “miniatures” for string quartet and electronics. Each movement focuses on a particular plant’s pharmacology, exploring the narrow region that lies somewhere between effectiveness and toxicity.

Berkeley Symphony Orchestra

For two seasons (2007-2008 and 2008-2009), David was a Resident of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra. They premiered six new orchestral works.

Amaranthine Silence

… was written to celebrate the prolonged reverberations and other elements of “silence” that are a part of large concert venues.  The San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra premiered this piece on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Old First Church. An encore performance occurred the following day in Oakland at the Chapel of the Chimes.
